An innovative new web based virtual trail of the city’s finest cultural attractions has been launched. Dublin Culture Trail promotes Dublin’s distinctive cultural richness to global and domestic audiences.Through a website and accompanying iPhone application, tourists will be able to plan their visit before arriving in Ireland by gaining access to snapshot videos, practical venue information, location maps, upcoming events, special offers and images. Built-in GPS and mapping functionality will guide visitors upon arrival in Dublin.
This is an initiative of Temple Bar Cultural Trust in partnership with Software Design, Red Diamond Media and Davis Events a consortium of Digital Hub companies. It was funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport under the Cultural Technology Grant Scheme and facilitated by The Digital Hub Development Agency.
