A team of 12 students from Miami University (Oxford, OH, USA) is working with the Digital Hub Development Agency in order "To identify, plan, and develop a multi-disciplinary curriculum aid for Irish schools using programmable hardware and a website. Thus, providing students with interactive learning."
The team is building a prototype device, developing the user interface, and creating a website to support teacher use of the device. The device under development is a flat touch pad that can be covered with an activity sheet printed out on a piece of paper. Students can touch various parts of the paper to "answer questions". Teachers will be able to monitor student answers and track progress on class activities. Furthermore, teachers can develop new activities for the device, share activities via the website, and use activities posted by other teachers.
